Myrtenaster

3D Printing for Cosplay

Starting with trials in late 2013, Myrtenaster was the first 3D printed prop that I made and used for cosplay. The model was divided into segments for assembly due to limitations with the print bed size. Printed in PLA, Myrtenaster was assembled with superglue after placing a steel rod inside the length for support. Filler and primer were used to polish the finish before painting. The bullets in the handle chamber were hand painted prior to assembly.
